Clinical Divisional Coordinator | Beirut

Position Summary: Manages day to day operational, clinical, and administrative activities of the orthopedic / surgery division by organizing workflow, prioritizing requests, maintaining a control system for cost, discharge planning for orthopedic / surgery patients.

Performs quality control using tools, coordinates care in the outpatient, inpatient, and operating room.

Supports mission and vision.



Main Responsibilities and Duties:
Administrative:
 Communicate and handle incoming and out coming mail of division
 Coordinate meetings
 Follow up on all administrative issues including schedules in the private clinic and operating room
 Participate in budget control and preparation
 Work on efficiency in processes
 Assist division in research in coordination with residents and medical students
 Prepare policies and standards of practice for division
 Participate in JCI compliance
 Ensure proper consignment items ,reviews preference cards regularly with surgeons ,and make sure preparation of sets and consignment are correct before the operation
 Submit report to CEO office regarding activity of the division
Clinical and Quality
 Round with surgeons in the orthopedic / surgery division ,including coordination for discharge
 Follow up on pain management in coordination with anesthesia department
 Involve in quality indicators ,JCI compliance ,submitting quality reports
 Provide training for staff regarding the care of all orthopedic patients
 Provide patient and family education including educational material
 Ensure the use of proper equipment to improve care
 Act as a resource for nursing staff
 Ensure completion of medical records
 Coordinate with head nurse and nursing staff
 Follow and ensure strict safety procedures.

 Initiate actions to predict the occurrence of non-conformities in materials and services.


 Put corrective and preventive actions in place and follow through the process.


 Perform other duties pertinent to this job as appropriate or as required.




Minimum Job Requirements:
 Bachelor degree from accredited school.

Master's degree in Business, Hospital Administration or Health related field is a plus.


 License and work permit with 5 years clinical experience and 2 years administrative experience.


 Current certification (BLS) Basic Life Support.


 Excellent verbal and written English skills.

French is a plus.


 Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).


 Direct knowledge of Quality Improvement Tools, requirements ISO 9001/2008, JCI and the Lebanese accreditation standards.


 Leadership skills.

Strong communication skills.


 Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking.


 Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
